As the holidays are approaching, #HumansofYD are elated and grateful for all the success we accomplished in 2022, both individually and as a team. We're grateful to our clients for choosing The YD Company to oversee their brand's campaigns, and activations and we're also largely grateful for your referrals, collaborations/partnerships, sponsorships and support in 2022. We're equally stoked by the outstanding display of expertise that we've shown while working on our clients' projects, including the doors of opportunities that have opened to us in 2022.

After acquiring 10+ new clients, organizing more than 15 major events, and pushing our old clients to greater heights, here’s to announce our annual close of business from December 22nd, 2022, for the Christmas and New Year holidays, to resume regular work activities on January 9, 2023, after a long year of tireless work.

For this year, we are excited and proud to have been the campaign manager for over 15 events, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Africa Knockout Fight Night 2 — a major Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) powered by UFC legend and world champion Kamaru Usman, which aims to position Mixed Martial Arts as one of the major sports in Africa by providing a platform for young talents and giving MMA fans a new and unique experience of watching professional MMA fights live.

  • The Kohler Bold Launch Nigeria - The first-ever Kohler Bold event with an immersive experience of the Kohler brand and its latest addition. The 150-year-old iconic Brand KOHLER expanded its presence throughout Africa to further its philosophy of ‘Gracious Living’ in this rapidly growing continent. With their trusted and consistent history of quality designs, a new sophisticated matte black design was unveiled at the Bold event.

  • Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) — a women empowerment program powered by The United States Consulate in Nigeria, in partnership with Ascend Studios Foundation, where leading professionals teach budding and experienced women entrepreneurs how to build and manage sustainable businesses for profitability and for the good of society.

  • Lagos Leather Fair 5 (LLF5) — an annual showcase that brings together stakeholders from across the leather value chain with a focus on finding sustainable solutions to move the industry forward, change the narrative within a misunderstood sector, as well as begin to build an ecosystem that works.

  • Design Week Lagos (DWL) — a leading design week on the African continent, conceived to present and celebrate the best in contemporary African design across categories while bringing international field leaders and visitors to experience the most exciting work from the region.

  • Africa Creative Market (ACM) — an initiative of Ascend Studios Foundation that primarily focuses on bringing together major stakeholders in the creative industry, both in Africa and other continents of the world, to foster the exchange of ideas and value between the creative industry in Africa and that of the entire globe while empowering creatives in the sector.

  • The Relaunch of Soho Restaurant at The Lagos Continental Hotel.

  • The Unofficial Christmas Party (The UX Party) — a joint end-of-the-year party organized by Funmi Victor-Okigbo, where companies come together to celebrate their successes for the year, as well as recognize and celebrate their staff, clientele, and partners, among others.
